Assignment Title: Selection of two individual consultants to improve small and medium sized extractive minings’ transport and logistic system Ref No.WB/MOF/MINIS/CS/IC/2.2.11(a)(i)/2017 and WB/MOF/MINIS/CS/IC/2.2.11(a)(ii)/2017

            The Government of Mongolia (GoM) has received a Technical Assistance Credit from the International Development Association (the Bank), toward the cost of Mining Infrastructure Investment Support Project (MINIS), and intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this credit to eligible payments under this Contract. The development objectives of the Project are to facilitate investments in infrastructure to support mining related activities and downstream value-added processes, regardless of funding source, and to build local capacity to prepare and transact infrastructure projects. Within the framework of this project MINIS project management unit (PMU) is planning to hire two local individual consultants at National Development Agency to IMPROVE SMALL AND MEDIUM SIZED EXTRACTIVE MININGS’ TRANSPORT AND LOGISTIC SYSTEM.

PMU now invites eligible individual consultants (“Individual Consultants”) to indicate their interest in following Services. Individual Consultants (“the Services”) shall design an integrated transportation and logistics system alternatives for the small and medium sized mines, to determine the possible location alternatives where the logistic centers can be established and to conduct preliminary impact assessment of the centers to the regional development. The assignment requires two individual consultants.

Individual consultant’s qualification requirement as follows:

Individual consultant: Mining and Heavy industry consultant /team leader/

Consultant qualification:

Education: MBA, Mining engineer, mining manager or related field;
Experience: Should have more than 5 years of experience in the mining sector;
Skills: He/she should have a good knowledge and experience in mining engineer and its regulation. English language skill is required.
Individual consultant: Infrastructure and transportation logistics consultant /expert/

Consultant qualification:

Education: Master or higher degree in Logistic manager or related field;
Experience: Should have more than 5 years of experience in the logistics sector;
Skills: Should have a good knowledge on transport and its regulation; and English language skill is required.
Duration of the assignment is expected to be 3 months for each consultant.

The letter will contain information on your ability how you will suite best the position’s requirements etc. In the cover letter, the applicant should specify the title of the position which you are applying.   Curriculum Vitae (CV) stating the applicants’ educational background, including degree(s), professional experience in reverse chronic order, language proficiency, and any relevant professional titles or certifications.
