PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON “DRAFT ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REPORT OF COAL TO SYNTHETIC NATURAL GAS PROJECT”
Dear representatives of Governors’ Office, NGOs, the private sector and citizens, herders, farmers in Baganuur district, Tuv province, Bayandelger, Zuunmod, Altanbulag, Sergelen, Arkhust and Erdene soums of Tuv province,
We are pleased to invite you to the “Open public consultation on the draft Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) of Coal to Synthetic Natural Gas project” (SNG ESIA), jointly organized by Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry ( MMHI), Project Management Unit (PMU) of Mining Infrastructure and Investment Support Project (MINIS) and Consultant team Green Trends LLC.
The objective of the consultation: Provide information on the draft SNG ESIA report, publicly disclose it, discuss the draftreport among the relatedstakeholders and revise it by considering the comments made the relevant stakeholders into the draft and finalize.
Stakeholders: Local Governor Offices, Local Governors, Citizen Representative Meeting, Department of Environment and Tourism, Division of Development Policy and Planning,Division of Agriculture, Public Administration Division, Infrastructure, Production and Service Division, Social Development Division, State Environmental Inspector, rangers, Kherlen River Basin Authority, NGOs, civil society organizations and local communities and herders Baganuur district in Tuv province, Bayandelger, Zuunmod, Altanbulag, Sergelen, Arkhust and Erdene soums of Tuv province.

All verbal and written comments and concerns made by participants will be fully recorded and possible comments will be reflected in the draft SNG ESIA report.
Your recommendations are valuable to the draft SNG ESIA report and please carefully look at the consultation package and prepare your suggestion before coming to the consultation.
Consultation materials have been disclosed on subpages of MINIS website: http://www.minis.mn/en/article and http://minis.mn/en/p/consultation-overview. Also, hard copies have been placed at Local Governor Office and Citizen Representative Meeting Hall of aforementioned soums and aimags and been delivered the package to the key local stakeholders in person.
Interested stakeholders may visit to the relevant Local Governor Offices and Citizens’ Hall to review these documents and in order to provide opportunity for the local residents to comment on the draft report, feedback journals have been placed together with the package.
